Indo House sits in Great Cruz Bay, five minutes from the ferry dock in Cruz Bay. The location is close enough for convenience, removed enough for privacy. Arrival follows a simple pattern: St. Thomas airport, Red Hook ferry, twenty-minute crossing. The villa is a short drive from where the boat docks. How do I make a reservation?
Reservations begin with an inquiry. We like to learn a bit about your plans and needs first to ensure Indo House is the right fit and that your stay is exceptional.
What is the minimum stay?
A five-night minimum stay is required year-round. Longer minimum of 7 nights apply during holiday periods. We will consider stays 5 nights or shorter for an additional nightly rate.
What are the payment terms?
For reservations made more than 30 days before arrival, a 50% deposit is due at time of booking with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to check-in. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at booking.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Payments are accepted in U.S. funds via credit card, check, or wire transfer.
Are taxes included in the rate?
The nightly rate does not include the 12.5% US Virgin Islands Hotel Occupancy Tax, which applies to all short-term stays.
Is a security deposit required?
Yes. A $5,000 credit card authorization is held on the day of arrival and released within 48 hours of departure, provided no damages are reported.
What is your cancellation policy?
All prepayments are non-refundable. In limited circumstances, the property may consider adjustments at its sole discretion. Any such requests must be submitted in writing and approval is not guaranteed.
Can I change my dates or receive a refund if I need to cancel?
If a cancellation becomes necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to work with guests to reschedule the reservation for alternative dates, subject to availability, with no change penalty. We will also relist the property for the original dates. If a replacement booking is secured, a refund may be issued for the amount successfully rebooked, less any applicable fees.
Is there a rental agreement I need to accept?
Yes. All reservations require acceptance of our Rental Agreement at the time of booking. The agreement outlines payment terms, cancellation policies, occupancy limits, damage authorization, house rules, and other important conditions of stay. By completing a reservation and submitting payment, guests acknowledge they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms in the Rental Agreement.

Should I get CFAR / Travel Insurance?
Yes. Some guests may have some form of travel insurance through their credit card but we strongly suggest you purchase CFAR ( cancel for any reason) insurance to at least cover 50% of reservation( the non refundable at time of booking portion).

How do we get to St. John?
Fly into St. Thomas (STT), then take a taxi to the ferry terminal. Ferries run regularly to Cruz Bay, St. John. From Cruz Bay, Indo House is a short drive to Great Cruz Bay.
Should I bring my passport?
A passport is not required for travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands if you are a U.S. citizen. However, a passport is required for day charters or excursions to the British Virgin Islands. We recommend bringing a passport if you might plan to leave U.S. waters during your stay.
Can you arrange airport transfers?
Yes. Private transfers from the St. Thomas airport, including ferry coordination and ground transportation on St. John, can be arranged through our concierge prior to arrival.
Do we need a car while staying at Indo House?
We strongly recommend renting a car. While taxis are available, a vehicle offers flexibility for exploring beaches, dining, and the island at your own pace. Indo House includes private parking on site.
Is the drive to the villa difficult?
Indo House is a 7 minute drive from the Cruz Bay ferry dock. The drive is straightforward, though roads on St. John can be steep and winding. We provide detailed arrival instructions in advance to ensure a smooth arrival, even after dark.
Are taxis or ride services available on St. John?
Taxis are available island wide during the day and up till bar close(2am) in Cruz Bay. Rideshare services do not operate on the island. For most guests, a rental car is the most convenient option during their stay.
How many guests can Indo House accommodate?
Indo House sleeps 8 guests comfortably across four bedrooms. In certain cases, the villa can accommodate up to 10 guests with prior approval, using additional bedding. Please confirm guest count in advance so we can ensure a seamless stay.
What does 'waterfront' mean at Indo House?
Indo House is located directly on the shoreline of Great Cruz Bay. The villa sits just above the water, offering unobstructed bay views, ocean sounds, and immediate proximity to the shoreline.
Does the villa have direct water access or private beach?
The villa does not have a private walk-in beach. Guests can access the water via a short side path that leads directly into the water.
Can a boat pick us up directly at the villa?
Boat pickup and drop off can be arranged at a floating dock located a short two minute walk down the street. Access is subject to weather and sea conditions and is commonly used for day trips, snorkeling excursions, and private charters.
Is Indo House suitable for families and babies?
Yes. Indo House welcomes families. A crib and select baby amenities can be arranged upon request. Please let us know your needs in advance so everything is ready on arrival.
Do guests have access to the Westin amenities?
Yes. Guests of Indo House have full access to all Westin amenities and facilities, including the pool, beach, restaurants, tennis courts, and frisbee golf course.

Access is subject to standard resort operating hours and policies, which may vary seasonally. The Westin Resort is a 10 minute walk from Indo House.
What concierge services are included with our stay?
Basic coordination and local guidance are included with your stay. Full trip planning, curated itineraries, and additional services may involve separate fees. Please ask about pricing and availability at the time of booking so we can tailor services to your needs.
When should we contact the concierge?
We recommend reaching out after your reservation is confirmed. Early planning helps secure preferred vendors, boats, and dining, especially during peak season.
Can you arrange transportation and transfers?
Yes. Our concierge can coordinate airport transfers, ferry assistance, car rentals, and island transportation. Transportation services are arranged at an additional cost.
Do you offer full trip planning?
Yes. Comprehensive trip planning, including day by day itineraries, activity scheduling, and experience curation, is available for an additional fee. Please inquire at the time of booking.
Can you arrange private chefs and in villa dining?
Yes. Private chefs, catered meals, and special event dining can be arranged. Pricing varies by menu, group size, and service level.
Are boat charters and excursions available?
Yes. We can arrange private boat charters, snorkeling trips, sunset cruises, and water taxis. Boat pick up directly at the villa may be possible, weather permitting.
Are wellness and private experiences available?
Yes. Private yoga, massage, and wellness services can be scheduled at the villa. Availability and pricing vary by provider.
Is Indo House suitable for families with children?
Yes. Indo House welcomes families. The villa’s layout works well for shared time and privacy, though parents should note that the property is oceanfront and supervision is required around the pool and shoreline.
What is the maximum occupancy?
Indo House comfortably accommodates 8 overnight guests. Any exceptions must be approved in advance to ensure the villa is prepared appropriately.
Are events or gatherings allowed?
Small, low key gatherings may be considered with prior approval. Large events, parties, or weddings are not permitted without a separate agreement.
Are pets allowed?
Yes. Indo House is pet friendly with prior approval. Please inquire at the time of booking to confirm suitability and any applicable guidelines.
